The average monthly salary in the Czech Republic is 26,008 Czech crowns. Less then a half of the people in the economy earn it. The height of the average salary is being increased by the group of people with the highest earnings. Half the people in the Czech Republic earn up to 23,900 Czech crowns. These are findings of a survey by Platy.cz, a Czech website offering salary analyses for employers and employees.
5% of workers live on less than 12 thousand CZK per month
Most people in the Czech Republic earn 18 to 24 thousand Czech crowns per month. The second largest group are people earning 24 to 30 thousand per month who make up about a fifth of all earners. The third largest group are people with a salary of 12,000 to 18,000 per month. Five percent of working people work for less than 12 000 Czech crowns per month.
About a third of people in the IT sector earn over 30,000 CZK per month
Platy.cz monitors salaries in thirty nine categories. One of the categories with the highest salaries is IT. The average salary in IT is 37,197 Czech crowns. Earning less than 24,000 Czech crowns per month is exceptional in IT. 4% of people working in IT earn more than 72,000 crowns a month.
Most people in supermarkets earn 12,000 to 18,000 CZK per month
Salaries of the people working in supermarkets or hypermarkets are significantly lower than the average salary. The average salary in the category of selling goods to the final consumer is 20,940 Czech crowns. 61% of workers in this category earn less than the average salary. Up to 17% of workers earn less than 12,000 CZK a month.
