The job portal Glassdoor, which allows its users to publish reviews anonymously about their current jobs and employers, is entering the German market. It has officially launched a localized website www.glassdoor.de and mobile applications for iOS and Android operating systems. They are extending the European expansion that began in 2014 by launching local websites and mobile applications for the British and French markets.
Glassdoor.com is originally an American job and career website with other localized networks in Canada, Australia and India. In addition to job postings, it became famous by publishing anonymous employee-generated reviews of employers. Glassdoor employs approximately 350 people and publishes content from more than 190 countries, including the Czech Republic. Currently, more than 10 million jobs are listed on the site.
In Germany, Glassdoor has more than 500,000 job postings from 6,500 employers. These are supplemented by employee reviews and users can also compare salary levels in different companies.
