Facing unpleasant challenges
According to INC.com, good workers are not afraid to face unpleasant challenges because someone has to face them and they believe in themselves. Nor are they afraid of unpleasant work: on the contrary, unlike bad workers, they like getting out of their comfort zone.
Getting along with management
The importance of social relationships within the company should not be underestimated. The most important relationship is between the employee and management. The employee should share the basic priorities of management and act according to the ideas of their superiors or offer new suggestions. Bad workers often just complain.
Being organised
Even the best expert cannot be a good employee if they act in a disorganised, non-systematic way which does not correspond to the internal guidelines of the given company.
Helping others
Quality employees see beyond their own agenda. They have the good of their team and the company on their mind and this is why they are willing to provide advice and help others if they know they can truly assist by using their expertise.
Improvising with a view to the priorities of the company
Bad workers adhere strictly to what they were told to do; they are incapable of improvising or showing some initiative themselves. Good employees, however, are able to think about many things, function on their own and improvise, all within the framework of the priorities and best interests of the company.
