Encourage organic communication among employees
Allow workers to talk to one another in a natural way. This means, among other things, offering them common spaces where they can meet, and organising events and team-building activities.
Allow workers to take breaks
Do not require employees at your company to work like robots. A healthy approach to work and well-being includes taking occasional breaks from work. So create some tolerance in your company for workers to stop from time to time and just have a friendly chat.
Do not encourage toxic and unhealthy behaviour even indirectly
Some companies officially support workers' mental health but, at the same time, indirectly reward unhealthy and unsustainable behaviours. Do not encourage workaholics or reward workers who may have achieved short-term success, but only at the cost of toxic behaviour or unsustainable working patterns.
Openly discuss mental health
Talk openly about the topic of mental health at your company. Offer employees training on this issue and tools to address mental health issues.
Create a friendly office environment
The physical attributes of your work environment play a big role in how employees feel. Do not forget about plants, plenty of natural light, colour, or ergonomically designed work surfaces.
